Last Friday, Aug 12th, there was a great reading at SPD. I Facebooked a few shots of the organizers and the audience but neglected to post the lovely readers — but here they are. As people who know me know (this is Laura) when I am at a reading I often close my eyes in order to concentrate on hearing the words. This practice has the further advantage of allowing me to rest and daydream if the words are boring which, let's admit it, does occasionally happen. Last Friday at SPD was not such an occasion however. The readings were truly delightful. Below are Brandon Brown, Samantha Giles, Rob Halpern and Taylor Brady. Thank you readers for reading and thank you audience for showing up & buying a bunch of books. And thank you Displaced Press for publishing those books so elegantly!
