SPD declares four way winner to Make SPD Famous Contest!
We were deluged with so many entries for our Make SPD Famous contest – okay, we got four – that we decided to award any SPD book (under forty bucks) to each of the talented contenders. Winners are
Patrick Dugin
Steven Fama
Mike McQuillian
Dan Glass
Below are the winning poems:
Untitled
by Patrick Durgin
I do small, press the issue. I think big
About us, our "we" little locution.
We supercede the same sensate instinct
And ready each their distribution.
You lie in wait for proper reflection
Of this amorous determination.
To each their own totality and each
Another's fond retaliation.
I know you know, I do the do; what's more
Is what repeats. Like "nothing" else, "nothing,"
No likeness invents a seed, a spore,
No one. From many comes none, but rushing.
In any sound resemblance we mistook
Identical digits built for a book.

Poesy of Shivers
by Mike McQuillian
Small Press Distribution
Mails her books upon books upon books.
All unfamiliar to me, until their pages
Lasso me, an unruly pig that she has given her
Life for a while. After I shower, she reads me
Poetry that pushes my mind outwards, rumbling
River overflowing its banks. I feel the poetry
Every time I touch her, hear it in her
Shivers. We have our fingertips, parted lips, and mail from

The Steven Fama one is totally the best. You should give him two books.
